Nitriding and Nitrocarburizing create a hardened surface layer enriched with nitrogen and carbon, improving resistance to wear, fatigue, and corrosion. These processes are suitable for components requiring long service life under high stress conditions.

Nitriding Process

  • Method: Gas nitriding in controlled atmosphere
  • Temperature: 500°C - 580°C
  • Duration: 24-96 hours
  • Case Depth: 0.1mm - 0.6mm
  • Surface Hardness: 600-1200 HV

Nitrocarburizing Process

  • Method: Carbon addition to nitriding process
  • Temperature: 550°C - 620°C
  • Duration: 1-4 hours
  • Enhanced Properties: Better corrosion resistance
